Willkie adds partner to New York office

Willkie Farr & Gallagher (Wilkie) has appointed Dvir Oren as a partner in the firm’s Corporate & Financial Services Department, where he will be part of Willkie’s Private Equity Practice Group.

Oren, who was previously a partner at Kirkland & Ellis, will be based in the firm’s New York office.

“Dvir is an outstanding lawyer and strengthens Willkie’s premier private equity platform, further enhancing our deep bench of talented private equity attorneys practicing throughout the US and Europe,” says Jeffrey Poss, Co-Chair of the Private Equity Practice Group. “We are very pleased to welcome him to the Firm.”

Oren has significant experience guiding private equity sponsors and public and private companies in complex business transactions, including leveraged buyouts, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, minority and growth investments, tender and exchange offers, carve-out transactions, restructurings, joint ventures, SPACs and de-SPACs and investments in general partners. He has counselled leading private equity sponsors on some of the most notable transactions in recent years, spanning the technology, fintech, healthcare, life sciences, retail, industrial and other industries. He also counsels boards of directors and special committees of public and private companies on corporate governance, securities and strategic matters.

Neil Townsend, Co-Chair of the Private Equity Practice, says: “Dvir’s robust practice and longstanding relationships with a wide range of market-leading private equity sponsors fit very well with our core relationships, particularly in the financial services, healthcare and technology sectors. We are excited to support him and help him continue to grow those relationships.”

Oren says: “Willkie’s market-leading private equity team is well-known across the US and globally for its role leading some of the industry’s most complex and transformative transactions. I am thrilled to join such a talented and collaborative team and am looking forward to working with my new colleagues to achieve continued success for my practice and the Firm’s clients.”
