ARQIS advises VR Equitypartner on investment in Glas Strack

ARQIS has advised equity financier VR Equitypartner on its investment in Glas Strack. As part of a succession plan, VR Equitypartner, together with Inventure Digital, is taking a significant minority stake in the underlying glas strack innovations GmbH & Co KG, which is based in Bochum.

In addition, Maik Grondkowski, Managing Director of Glas Strack since the beginning of 2021, has also acquired shares. The sellers of the shares are Martin Strack and his co-shareholder Tanja Schmidt-Laskowski, who will continue to hold an interest through a significant reverse shareholding.

Glas Strack was founded in 1933 and is today one of the leading suppliers of its kind on the German market. The innovative product range of the third-generation family-run company includes single-pane safety, laminated safety, double-glazed, special and painted glass as well as digital prints. With its approximately 90 employees, Glas Strack covers the entire value chain from cutting and glass finishing to shipping with its own logistics. Together, the shareholders will support the company in expanding its online presence and further optimise production and logistics processes.

VR Equitypartner accompanies medium-sized family businesses goal-oriented and with decades of experience in the strategic solution of complex financing issues. ARQIS is advising the equity financier once again. A team led by ARQIS partner Dr Lars Laeger already accompanied the investment in Signet Wohnmöbel in 2019.
