Hanover Investors makes senior hire with new Director of Fundraising

Hanover Investors, the special situations specialist, is announcing today that it has appointed Serena Menaguale as its Director of Fundraising.

Alongside fundraising, Menaquale will also be responsible for relationships with the firm’s existing clients, as well as expanding its investor base.

Menaquale has more than 15 years’ experience in business development for hedge funds and private equity. She was a Director in Capital Introductions at Citigroup in London and a Managing Director at Perella Weinberg where she was responsible for marketing global private equity, hedge fund, real estate and UCITS strategies in Europe.

More recently she has been raising capital for a smaller platform, Farlap Capital, across public and private strategies.

This follows Hanover Investors’ appointment earlier this year of Jason Carley as a Senior Partner and a key member of the firm’s leadership team.

Carley previously ran portfolios totalling over EUR600 million investing in complex special situations assets across the UK, Germany, Nordics, Benelux, Asia-Pacific and developing markets. These portfolios invested across a range of sectors including TMT, services, manufacturing and automotive in traditional, stressed and distressed scenarios.

He was also a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch working in Sydney, Hong Kong and London.

Matthew Peacock, Founder and CEO of Hanover Investors, says: “We are delighted that Serena has joined our world class team of talent. Serena’s appointment, along with Jason’s earlier this year, signals how we are bringing on senior strategic expertise to prepare the business for further growth.”
