US-focused startup Team Odeon has raised EUR2 million in funding towards its higher education and career choice focused website, Degreechoices.com.
Investors include venture capital fund Lighthouse Ventures, a group of European private equity investors from the performance marketing sector, and its founder Ory Weihs.
Founded in late 2020, Odeon offers user focused data driven information, and tools to simplify education and career choices. Although their clients are higher education programs, their target audience and ultimate end users are potential students.
The business works on performance-based models, matching high intent, well informed candidates with their best possible educational choices. “The company works with its clients (colleges and universities) on a cost per lead (CPL) model with potential future revenue sharing— meaning its interests are 100 per cent aligned with those of its clients.

The first of several planned customer facing sites, Degreechoices.com, launched December 2020, is focused on a variety of fields such as Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice and more, offering relevant information and tools to potential students at various life stages. The site offers visitors unique data-driven insights, comparison tools and expertly written content, as well as partnering with colleges, vocational training schools and online program managers.
Since Team Odeon was founded, they have grown to a team of 12 across multiple European locations, in addition to employing many contributors located in the US.
