PE/M&A partner joins Kramer Levin

Kramer Levin has appointed Elisia M Klinka as a partner in the time’s Private Equity/M&A practice in New York.

Klinka’s practice focuses on private equity and mergers and acquisitions, and she represents several private equity sponsors and strategic acquirers.

Kramer Levin co-managing partners Howard T Spilko and Paul H Schoeman, say: “We are pleased to welcome Elisia to the firm. We have been growing our Corporate practice dramatically in recent years, particularly our private equity and M&A capabilities, and that growth continues to be a strategic priority for the firm.”

“We are experiencing extraordinarily high demand for our group’s services on private equity and M&A transactions,” adds Ernest S Wechsler, chair of Kramer Levin’s Corporate department. “We see an excellent fit between Elisia’s talents and experience and our clients’ needs, and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board.”

“I am very excited to join Kramer Levin’s dynamic Corporate team,” says Klinka. “I look forward to helping the firm’s clients find creative, practical solutions that enable them to execute their strategic plans as efficiently as possible.”

Throughout her career, Klinka has also been committed to pro bono work involving political asylum petitions, disabled veterans’ claims and nonprofit corporate governance matters. Pro bono and community service are integral to Kramer Levin’s practice and culture. The firm’s Veterans Assistance Project and Small Business Clinic, among other projects, are advancing its Racial Justice Initiative, which was established in June 2020.
