BC Partners to sell VetPartners for up to £3bn

London-based buyout firm BC Partners is considering a sale of UK veterinary services firm VetPartners for between £2.5 billion and £3 billion amid interest from potential buyers, according to a report by Bloomberg.

London-based buyout firm BC Partners is considering a sale of UK veterinary services firm VetPartners for between £2.5 billion and £3 billion amid interest from potential buyers, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The report cites unnamed sources as revealing that BC partners is working with advisers on a potential deal, with several strategic buyers and private equity firms having shown preliminary interest in acquiring the company. 

Negotiations are said to be at an early stage and BC Partners could still decide not to sell.

BC Partners first acquired VetPartners, which was founded in 2015 and specialises in small animal, mixed and equine veterinary practices across the UK, in 2018 in a deal valued at about £720 million.
