INVL acquires remaining shares in private debt manager Mundus

INVL, an investment management and life insurance group in the Baltics, is to acquire the remaining shares in Mundus, an asset management company managing a private debt fund. The shares will be purchased from Mundus partners Audrius Mozūras and Martynas Grikinis.

According to Grikinis, this consolidation will provide even more opportunities for value creation for existing and future investors in the Mundus managed investment fund.

INVL Asset Management, a company of the INVL Group, currently holds 51% of the shares in Mundus, which manages the private debt fund Mundus Bridge Finance, a provider of bridge financing to a wide range of projects, and an investor in private placement debt securities of alt investment sector companies. Mozūras and Grikinis each own 24.5% of the business.

The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.

As part of the deal, the management structure of Mundus, which has EUR26.8 million in AUM, is changing, with Viktorija Vaitkevičienė, previously a director of the venture capital fund CoInvest Capital, becoming CEO. She replaces Mozūras, who will leave the company. Grikinis meanwhile, the current fund manager of Mundus Bridge Finance, will continue an active role in the company.

INVL Asset Management has held a majority stake in Mundus since February 2018.
