Goodwin adds private investment funds partner in New York

Global law firm Goodwin has appointed Audra Cohen as a partner in the firm’s global Private Investment Funds practice in New York office. Cohen has more than 10 years of experience representing global private funds sponsors. 

Goodwin’s global private funds practice, now numbers more than 230 lawyers across the US, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Singapore, representing more than 1,000 investment managers around the world.

Cohen advises sponsor clients on all aspects of fund formation, fundraising, negotiations, and ongoing compliance in connection with real estate funds, real estate credit funds, infrastructure funds, and private equity buyout funds. She also regularly advises sponsors on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act in addition to other regulatory compliance matters, fund-related aspects of real estate and M&A transactions, other liquidity transactions, and internal sponsor governance and economic arrangements.
