Rise Growth Partners, a capital financing platform for registered investment advisors founded by Joe Duran, former CEO of United Capital, has secured a $250m investment commitment from Charlesbank Capital Partners, a middle-market private investment firm with offices in Boston and New York. 
Funds advised by global private equity advisory business Apax Partners have completed the previously announced acquisition of WGSN, Ascential’s subsidiary data business unit focused on consumer trend forecasting.
Littlejohn & Co, a Connecticut-based investment firm specialising in private equity and debt investments in middle market companies with $8bn in AUM, has entered into an agreement to sell Dana Kepner Company, a Colorado-based supplier of water works material and services, to Core & Main, a specialised distributor of water, wastewater, storm drainage and fire protection products and services. 
The PGA Tour has closed its $3bn investment deal with Strategic Sports Group, a group of US-based sports team owners which is led by Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group and includes Steve Cohen, Owner of the New York Mets, Arthur Blank, Owner of the Atlanta Falcons and Marc Lasry, former Co-Owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Sticks’n’Sushi, the Copenhagen-based restaurant and takeaway group operating 27 sites across the UK, Denmark and Germany, has been acquired by McWin Capital Partners, a London-based private equity firm with Gail’s, Vapiano and L’Osteria on its portfolio. 
Direct lender and credit manager Golub Capital has acted as administrative agent and sole lead arranger on a $2.11bn unitranche facility to refinance Aptean’s existing first lien and second lien broadly syndicated loan facilities.
American businessman John Angelos has agreed to the sale of the Baltimore Orioles to a group led by David Rubenstein, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of private equity firm The Carlyle Group, as part of a transaction valuing the baseball team at $1.7bn. 
Walter Global Asset Management, the private equity unit of Canadian investment group Walter Financial, is acquiring a minority stake in Madryn Asset Management, a US manager that focuses on investments in healthcare innovation.
Growth equity investment firm Summit Partners has made a majority investment in CollisionRight, a US consolidator of automotive collision repair shops, with the new funding set to be used to support the company’s growth plan.
Arlington Capital Partners, a private investment firm specialising in government regulated industries, has made a majority investment in Afton Scientific, a US contract, development and manufacturing organisation dedicated to sterile manufacturing of injectable pharmaceuticals.
