Cheryl Packwood

Chief Executive Officer

Cheryl Packwood joined Business Bermuda in October 2006 and has led the transformation of the organisation’s international marketing and local outreach programmes. She is one of the most recognisable offshore representatives promoting Bermuda as a domicile at home and abroad. In April 2012, Ms Packwood was named as an Industry Leader in MENA FM’s Service Provider Power 50 of 2012.
Being fluent in English and French, Ms Packwood has worked internationally having held senior-level positions in Bermuda (at Digicel Bermuda and at the Bermuda Monetary Authority), Cote d’Ivoire (at Western Wireless International Corporation and at N’Goan, Asman & Associes) and New York (at Shearman & Sterling and Martin Luther King, Jr. High School).

Education
Ms Packwood received her Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Yale University and Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1987

Ross Webber

Chief Executive Officer

Ross Webber joined the BDA as CEO on August 4, 2014, having served as an Executive Committee Board Member since inception. Ross is a former Permanent Secretary in the Government of Bermuda, a role considered to be one of the most senior positions of accountability and responsibility in the public service.
Prior to joining the Government, Ross was the Head of Global Marketing and Business Development for international law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman. Ross’s prior experience includes excess liability underwriting, marketing and business development work for various companies in the UK and Bermuda, including ACE, Black & Decker, Starr Excess International (a division of AIG) and Avon Cosmetics.

Education

Ross majored in Marketing and is an honours graduate, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies (1993) from Teesside University in England. He also holds an MBA in Insurance and Financial Risk Management from St. John’s University in New York (1999).
