HighVista Strategies, an alternative asset manager focused on investments in public and private markets, has held the final close of HighVista Private Equity X, with $675m of capital commitments.
HighVista Private Equity X attracted support from existing investors including pension funds, endowments, foundations and family offices, in addition to several new investors, according to a press release.
As with previous funds, HighVista Private Equity X will invest in a diversified pool of small, privately-held companies typically with enterprise values less than $150m. The fund’s strategy is to partner with sub-$500m specialist private equity sponsors, co-investing directly into founder-owned and founder-led businesses in the US and acquiring lower middle market secondary interests.
