Duff & Phelps has appointed Ted Keen as Managing Director in the firm’s Transfer Pricing practice based in London. Keen will serve as the European leader for the practice, focusing on client service and further expansion of the transfer pricing group in Europe.
Keen brings over twenty years of experience advising clients on transfer pricing matters in both the US and UK. He has served clients across a wide range of industries, most recently focusing on the life science, high tech, natural resources and business services, and on applying economic analysis to complex transfer pricing valuation matters.

BGF has invested GBP3 million of growth capital into Cardiff-headquartered DevOpsGroup, a UK professional services company specialising in DevOps engineering consultancy and training.
This deal represents BGF’s first investment in Wales since it announced the launch of its Cardiff office earlier this year.
Founded in 2013 by chief executive James Smith and CTO Steve Thair, DevOpsGroup empowers digital transformation through high-performing IT capabilities for both enterprises, including ASOS, Admiral Insurance, BAE Systems, and Vodafone, and scale-ups.

CEPRES, a provider of investment decision analytics for private markets, has released research it recently conducted for the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) and presented at its Annual Members Conference.
By analysing the outcomes of 58,000 companies invested by private equity and private debt funds, CEPRES showed that revenue growth is the biggest global driver of value creation and buyout investment returns even if other factors vary strongly across the regions. KKR is to acquire a 49.99 per cent stake in new tower company, SFR TowerCo. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals in France and is expected to close in Q4 2018.
SFR TowerCo will comprise of 10,198 sites across France currently operated by SFR. KKR’s financial and operational support will help drive the continued growth and development of the company’s portfolio, strengthening its position as a leading telecom infrastructure provider in France. The transaction will give SFR TowerCo an enterprise value of EUR3.6 billion.

ECM Equity Capital Management (ECM), a German private equity firm headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, has held the final closing of its new fund German Equity Partners V (GEP V) in June 2018 at its hard cap of EUR325 million in investor commitments – exceeding its original EUR300 million target.

Campbell Lutyens has opened a new office in Singapore, following regulatory approval.
The office will support the continued expansion of the firm’s fund placement and secondary advisory business in Asia-Pacific, and will be the firm’s second in the region, after the opening of a Hong Kong office in 2010.
Campbell Lutyens’ Asia-Pacific team has grown to 15 people and is currently advising on USD7.8 billion of transactions for Asia-Pacific clients. The firm raises capital and advises on secondary transactions for private equity, infrastructure and private debt funds globally.

AdoRx Therapeutics, a UK based drug discovery company focused on the identification of new cancer therapeutics, has closed an initial USD10 million investment round financed by Epidarex Capital and CRT Pioneer Fund (CPF).
AdoRx was founded in 2017 by leading healthcare investor Epidarex Capital and has assembled a group of highly experienced pharma industry veterans led by Pete Finan, former head of the Novartis Institutes of BioMedical Research UK site. The company will focus on the discovery of new modulators of the adenosine pathway for the treatment of cancer.

Matr, an online teaching platform, has closed a GBP4.75 million Series A investment round led by the UCL Technology Fund and Downing Ventures, with follow on investment from Ananda and innovation charity Nesta, and Sherry Coutu joining as an angel investor.
The company has now raised GBP8.25 million in funding.
Following an initial focus on providing online teaching to support children in UK schools, via the company’s Third Space Learning brand, the new investment will be focused on developing the Matr platform to support families at home, catering to a global teaching and student base.

SharesPost, a liquidity provider to the private technology growth asset class, has closed a USD15 million Series C round led by LUN Partners and Kenetic Capital.
The funding will be used to build out SharesPost’s Alternative Trading System (ATS) for private company shares and security tokens and to further expand its global reach into Asia.
“Our strategy is to create a single, global marketplace for traditional and digital securities of private growth companies. Connecting US and Asian investors and companies on our ATS is a key objective in realising that vision,” says Greg Brogger, Founder and CEO of SharesPost.
