A USD9.6 billion deal has been agreed by EQT Private Equity for the sale of Aldevron – a provider of plasmid DNA, mRNA and recombinant proteins used in vaccines, cell therapy, gene editing and diagnostics – to Danaher Corporation. Aldevron has played a key role in combating the pandemic Covid-19 by supplying plasmid DNA for the manufacture mRNA vaccines.

Charterhouse Capital Partners-backed Mirion meanwhile – a provider of radiation detection, measurement, monitoring and analysis equipment and services – looks like becoming the latest company to take the SPAC route to listing on the NYSE having agreed a combination with GS Acquisition Holdings Corp II, an affiliate of the Goldman Sachs Group.
