Patron Technology acquires GrowTix

Patron Technology, a live event technology specialist and a portfolio company of private equity firm Providence Strategic Growth, has acquired GrowTix, a Salt Lake City based ticketing and registration company with a large clientele in the convention and fandom event space. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The addition of GrowTix solidifies Patron Technology’s prevalent position within the convention industry. Patron Technology’s start-to-finish platform, including ticketing, event operations, experiential marketing, cashless payments, and mobile app solutions, already successfully supports numerous iconic events within this space, like New York Comic Con, Los Angeles Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, and Anime NYC to name a few.

“Patron Technology has been a global presence in the convention industry for years, and we are thrilled to welcome GrowTix into the fold,” says Marc Jenkins, Patron Technology CEO. “With the addition of their tools and experience, we’re excited to offer even more ways to strengthen the fan experience, enhance ticket sales, and streamline operations for convention and fandom event organisers around the world.”

In addition to event ticketing, GrowTix has excelled in providing tools that enable convention organisers to manage event scheduling, guest itineraries, exhibitor booth planning, and more.

“By adding the GrowTix solution to the existing Patron Technology product offering, we look forward to strengthening our client relationships by providing an even more diverse set of tools that will allow them to refine their business and elevate their attendee experience,” says LeGrande Jolley, VP of Product & Co-founder of GrowTix.

“GrowTix and the suite of products offered by Patron Technology are a perfect combination of tools for the industry,” saisaysd Johnny Sloan, President & Co-founder of GrowTix. “Since we first started discussions with Patron Technology, we identified that we had the exact same vision for our companies and how they serve the industry; with the resources and breadth of knowledge they bring to the table, we see an amazing future for event technology!”
