BerchWood Partners appoints Olaf Wentrup as VP in London office

BerchWood Partners, a leading independent global placement agent, has appointed Olaf Wentrup as a Vice President in its London office. 

Wentrup has more than 10 years of experience in the alternative investment space and will have responsibility for originating new client relationships, managing fundraising assignments and relationships with Limited Partners and Fund Managers with a special focus on the DACH – Region.

Prior to BerchWood, Olaf was a Director and Head of Client Business Development for Citi’s Private Equity Fund Coverage group in EMEA. Previously, he worked at Chatham Financial advising private equity funds and real estate funds on their FX and Interest Rate hedging requirements. Olaf has also worked in New York at Credit Agricole’s Financial Sponsors Group and at Allianz Capital Partners focusing on PE funds due diligence. He started his career at WestLB in Germany in their Pan-European Equity Sales Desk and Private Equity & Mezzanine Solutions Group.
 
Wentrup has a BA in International Business Administration from Wiesbaden Business School and holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.
