Academic Appointments, a specialist Yorkshire-based education recruiter has secured backing from Leeds based investment fund Solingen.
Academic Appointments was founded by Mo Parkin in 2004 and currently provides services to schools across Yorkshire via offices in Leeds and Doncaster.
The business has grown significantly over the past few years and has diversified to provide a one-stop shop for all school-based requirements on a temporary, contract and permanent basis.
Pete Riley, currently a director of the business, has been promoted to managing director while founder Mo Parkin will now take the role of executive chairperson.

The deal was brokered through KBS Corporate with legal support provided by Gateley PLC and Gordons LLP Solicitors. The business continues to be supported by its long term banking partner Yorkshire Bank, which received legal advice from Eversheds. In addition Solingen received advice from Ryecroft Glenton, RPL and Stratton HR.
