Early-stage venture capital LiveOak Venture Partners, a venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas, has promoted Creighton Hicks and Mike Marcantonio to Partner.
The promotions coincide with the launch of the firm’s third fund, a USD210 million vehicle focused on early-stage companies in Texas. The pair join Founding Partners Venu Shamapant and Krishna Srinivasan who launched LiveOak nearly a decade ago.
Creighton joined LiveOak in 2020 from Dell Technologies Capital (DTC) where he led investments in numerous early-stage software companies, including CloudKnox (acquired by Microsoft) and FullStory.
Prior to joining LiveOak in 2018, Marcantonio spent six years with early-stage venture firm Blue Heron Capital in Virginia. There, he focused on healthcare IT and enterprise software investments, including Avizia (acquired by AmWell), PresenceLearning (acquired by Spectrum Equity and TPG), and Verisma.
