Hogan Lovells adds three to PE practice in London

Global law firm Hogan Lovells has hired James Cross, previously with K&L Gates, as a partner in its private equity and funds practice in London.

Cross has 20 years of experience across private equity transactions, including buyouts, secondary transactions, restructurings, complex carve-outs and bolt-on acquisitions, acting for both investors and managers.

Nick Cusack, meanwhile, will join the firm’s banking and loan finance practice in August, also as a partner, from Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where he was counsel in the firm’s banking and finance group.

Cusack specialises in leveraged finance transactions and has experience acting for both private equity sponsors and lenders across the capital structure, with a focus on private credit. He has worked on acquisition financing, real estate finance, corporate refinancings and restructuring transactions.

Last month, Hogan Lovells added special situations partner Sam Norris to the team. All three will be based in London.

Norris focuses on working on complex and high-end financing structures.
