Target Partners has appointed Wolfram Drescher as Venture Partner. The successful founder and CEO has over 20 years of experience in establishing and managing deep-tech companies in Silicon Saxony.
“Since my very first start-up experience, I’ve enjoyed partnering with ambitious entrepreneurs who are willing to disrupt industries with radically new technologies that impact our daily lives. I’m excited about the prospect of supporting and enabling founders to realise their visions,” says Drescher.
Drescher co-founded and led Dresden-based Airrays and previously co-founded Systemonic which was acquired by Philips, as well as Blue Wonder Communications which was acquired by Infineon and later by Intel. Drescher was also CEO and adviser of start-up Silectra, developer of a “cold split” technology for SiC wafers. The company was acquired by Infineon in 2018.
“Wolfram is a pioneer in the areas of wireless networks and semiconductor technologies in Germany. Our network will benefit enormously from his entrepreneurial and technical expertise in mobile network infrastructure, semiconductor design and semiconductor manufacturing. Drescher holds a Doctorate Degree and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden.
