ARQIS advises Liberta Partners on Ameropa acquisition

ARQIS has advised Liberta Partners, a multi-family holding company based in Munich, on the acquisition of Ameropa, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.Liberta Partners will take over all of the approximately 120 Ameropa employees. Ameropa and Deutsche Bahn will continue to work closely together in the future, for example in sales or with respect to rail travel as part of Ameropa package offers.

 
The tour operator Ameropa, founded in 1951, has been part of the DB Group since 1973 and has been wholly owned by DB Fernverkehr AG since 1993, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG. Ameropa sells its travel packages through around 7,000 travel agencies and 400 DB Travel Centres to around 500,000 travellers per year.
 
Liberta Partners was founded in 2016 and invests in companies in German-speaking countries with a clear operational development potential, in particular in corporate spin-offs and succession situations. The portfolio companies are actively developed and benefit from Liberta Partners’ innovative entrepreneurial understanding. The Liberta Partners’ team currently consists of nine professionals from the areas of M&A, Operations and Legal.
