Paris-based Apax Partners has added to its team with two new appointments. Joséphine Loréal will work in investor relations, while Raphaël Bazin has been appointed as director at Apax Partners Development, the investment team dedicated to Apax Partners’ investments in companies with a value of EUR10-100 million.
Loréal (above, left), who will be in charge of third party distribution clients, will report to Guillaume Cousseran. She began her career in 2003 at Natixis Asset Management in the external distribution team, in charge of partner relations. Three years later she joined the sales team at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, responsible for banks and asset managers.
In 2009, Loréal became the head of that team and in 2012 she was named deputy director of Distribution, Europe, in charge of wholesale clients in France, Monaco and BeLux. In 2018, Loréal joined asset manager Candriam as director of Distribution, France. She holds an MA 1 in applied economics from the University of Paris-Dauphine and an MA 2 in banking, finance and insurance from the University of Paris-Nanterre.
Bazin (above, right) spent the first four years of his career in private equity at PAI Partners, then worked for seven years at Argos Wityu, where he closed several investment deals in the consumer, TMT and healthcare segments. In 2017, Bazin was appointed CFO of Valco, an industrial group.
He graduated from the University Paris IX Dauphine and has a master’s degree in corporate finance.
