B2B Tech-Enabled Logistics Platform Logisly raises USD6 million in Series A Round led by Monk’s Hill Ventures

Logisly, a B2B tech-enabled logistics platform based in Indonesia, has closed a new USD6 million funding round led by Monk’s Hill Ventures. The funding will be used to scale Logisly’s operations in Indonesia, by growing their sales and vendor acquisition teams to strengthen its network of shippers and transporters and product development. This includes providing tools for shippers and transporters to improve their business operations.

Logisly CEO and Co-Founder, Roolin Njotosetiadi, says: “We are focused on digitizing the logistics industry in Indonesia, which remains largely fragmented. The industry continues to face a plethora of challenges such as fragmented ecosystem players, high logistics costs, manual processes and unreliable drivers and transporters.

As the logistics industry continues to grow, our vision is to increase logistics efficiency in Indonesia through technology. Our platform utilises an algorithm to aggregate supply and demand for trucking, providing shippers with reliable and verified trucks powered by real time tracking and digital PODs, while offering trucking providers a facility to utilise idle or vacant trucks and receive quick payment. Through our managed platform, we aim to optimise the utilisation of trucks and provide more certainty in managing supply chains through a wide network of reliable transport, order transparency, and automation.”

Logisly’s platform connects shippers with trucking providers from verified corporate carriers under their network in Indonesia. Shippers and trucking providers use Logisly’s platform as a single point of contact for orders, payment, and tech support.

“With the Logisly platform, we are able to book reliable trucks with ease, ensuring efficient and on-time deliveries. Logisly’s real-time tracking technology helps us monitor our orders and troubleshoot around the clock from loading, the journey, unloading, and return, making the shipping process as seamless and transparent as possible,” says Erinditio Kusumo, Regional Development of JD.ID, a subsidiary of Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com that operates an e-commerce platform in Indonesia.

“Roolin and Robbi have made great strides in solving the large inefficiencies in the Indonesian B2B logistics industry and driving its long overdue digitalisation. The team’s approach of a tech-driven marketplace combined with a lean and obsessively efficient operations center provides instant value to both truckers and shippers which sets them apart in this $100 billion-plus race. While there is still hard work ahead, in only a year and a half into their journey, the team has grown and managed astutely, already achieving positive contribution margins,” says Justin Nguyen, Partner at Monk’s Hill Ventures.

Logisly currently serves more than 300 corporate shippers from various sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods, chemicals, construction and e-commerce. This includes Unilever, JD.ID, Haier, Grab and Maersk, among others. With a network of more than 40,000 trucks, Logisly provides shippers with 100 per cent availability of cost-efficient and reliable trucks to meet the demands of shippers.
