AND Digital secures follow-on round from BGF

AND Digital, a British tech consultancy aiming to accelerate digital delivery for businesses by providing access to tech talent, has secured GBP8 million in follow-on funding from BGF, one of the UK’s most prominent growth economy investors.

“Since our inception, there’s been a pressing need for digital skills to become foundational to every organisation, regardless of sector or size,” comments CEO Paramjit Uppal comment on the funding round.

“Now, as Covid-19 persists, we believe even more deeply that every business is now a digital business – with software and data at its core, powered by talent at the heart,” he adds.

This round takes total investment in the business to almost GBP20 million over the last 12 months. The new funding will enable AND Digital to help more clients address their digital skills shortage by working with them on immediate challenges and helping them build their own internal capabilities long-term.

BGF’s fresh capital will be used for expanding in the Benelux region, as well as further offices, known internally as ‘clubs’ in Scotland and Manchester. The company said it will also focus on growing its existing clubs in Leeds and London.

AND Digital will also aim to increase its cloud engineering capabilities, intending to add 300-400 new high-paid digital jobs – including software engineers, product analysts, and UX/UI specialists – over the next 12 months, according to the company.

Founded in 2014 by Paramjit Uppal, London-based AND Digital is one of the largest independent providers of digital services in the UK with 11 clubs across the UK and opening its first overseas club in Amsterdam this summer.

The company’s client portfolio includes British Airways, Premier Inn, Costa Coffee, and People’s Postcode Lottery, as well as government departments including HM Courts & Tribunal Service and startups and scaleups like Gousto and Splink.
