Ironwood Capital exits waste container and disposal service investment

Ironwood Capital has exited its investment in Pete & Pete Container Services, Inc and Boyas Excavating Inc (Pete & Pete/Boyas), the largest privately-held integrated waste management company in the Cleveland, Ohio region.

“Ironwood partnered with Pete & Pete in 2019 in connection with its acquisition of Boyas, the largest privately held C&D landfill in northeast Ohio, and the combined business has expanded dramatically since, even amid Covid,” says Dickson Suit, partner and head of the Environmental Services group at Ironwood Capital. “Pete and Lisa, the principals, and their team, have done an absolutely amazing job executing the strategic plan and it’s been great to work with them.”

“We are very appreciative of Ironwood stepping in two years ago to assist with the acquisition of Boyas Excavating. That acquisition was pivotal and a game-changer for us, allowing us to move to the next level in terms of new service offerings, including disposal and aggregate sales,” say Peter Jr and Lisa Ristagno, co-owners of Pete & Pete/Boyas.
