Pario Ventures invests in Simply Hooked

Pario Ventures has continued to increase its investment into the Hospitality sector with an investment in Simply Hooked, which was originally launched in  New York, and opened in London in September this year.

Simply Hooked’s modern take on seafood is fresh healthy and supremely tasty. They have a new approach to the fast-casual sector with everything from ceviche to Sri Lankan spiced fish and chips. Simply Hooked already has operations in Belgium and is looking to launch more franchises shortly.

The founders who include Noel Linehan have over 40 years collectively and have owned bars and restaurants across Belgium, New York, Ireland, and London including currently The Print House bar and restaurant in Stratford London. With strong growth and M&A plans they are targeting to have six Simply Hooked sites added as well as the acquisition of several bars. Pario Ventures will help accelerate Simply Hooked’s development and advance in the UK market.

Kevin Doyle, Co-founder of Pario Ventures, says: “I have known the founders for some time after originally supporting them on the original Simply Hooked. Their breadth of experience in this sector is second to none and supporting them for further growth makes perfect sense for us as a business. The experienced entrepreneurial management team behind Simply Hooked has a proven track record for exit and I believe they are ready to scale this business.

David Murray-Hundley Co-Founder of Pario Ventures says: “I am seeing some great technology coming into this sector, for the most part, accelerated by events of 2020. There is also a great opportunity to help and support existing businesses. I expect that our Hospitality portfolio will also look to grow with pubs and hotels, as well as the technology element and great brands.”

Pario ventures has current investments in the likes of Innis & Gunn, White Rabbit Pizza, and NU Unlimited as part of extending their Hospitality portfolio.
