Pembroke VCT and Molten Ventures VCT join VCTA

The Venture Capital Trust Association (VCTA) has announced two new members, Pembroke VCT and Molten Ventures VCT.

The VCTA is the industry body representing twelve of the largest VCT managers in the United Kingdom. The addition of Pembroke VCT and Molten Ventures VCT – previously Draper Esprit VCT -takes the VCTA’s membership to more than 90% of the VCT industry, with £6.3 billion funds under management invested through an extensive regional network of local offices in 15 cities across the UK.
 
The VCTAactively campaigns to support early-stage businesses during a period of significant economic disruption and create the regulatory landscape to unlock sufficient growth capital to accelerate the UK’s recovery.
 
VCTA members have made 1,500 individual investments over the last five years, averaging £400m per annum. Over the last financial year, VCTA-backed businesses delivered £14.2 billion in revenues, generating £3.9 billion in exports and investing £534 million in R&D.
 
Since the beginning of the pandemic, VCTs have invested £1.2bn in the UK’s fast-growth businesses, and across the VCT industry account for £7bn of funds under management.
