Swedish private equity firm Nordic Capital is one of the last potential purchasers of Temenos AG after rival buyout firms including EQT AB, Thoma Bravo, and Permira pulled out of the running to acquire the Swiss banking software firm, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The report cites unnamed sources as revealing that Nordic is in discussion with Temenos and lining up financing for a deal for the $6.7 billion firm that could be agreed as early as this month.

Other private equity firms including Blackstone Inc are reportedly still interested in a deal but are not currently actively engaged in takeover talks, according to the sources.

Temenos has overhauled its board following pressure from activist investor Petrus Advisers. The company’s talks with Temenos are said to be ongoing and a deal is not yet guaranteed to happen.
