Josh Harris-backed 26North Partners has appointed Matthew Manin, formerly head of private equity capital markets at Apollo Global Management, to spearhead its capital-markets operations, according to a report by Bloomberg citing unnamed sources familiar with the move.
Manin, who spent eight years at Apollo – most recently as a Partner within Apollo Capital Solutions – left the firm at the end of 2024. At 26North, he will lead efforts across investment-grade debt, direct lending, and private equity financing.
The appointment comes as 26North, which manages roughly $30bn of assets, continues to expand its portfolio through acquisitions. Earlier this year, the firm took a controlling stake in AVI-SPL, a provider of audio-visual and communications systems. In 2024, 26North acquired Onelife Fitness, a regional gym operator, and ArchKey Solutions, a specialist in electrical and technological systems.
