China’s SJ Semiconductor has raised USD300 million in a Series C round led by Walden CEL Global Fund, a fund backed by China Everbright and Walden International, alongside other Greater China investors including CCB Private Equity Investment Management, CCB Trust, Country Garden Venture Capital, and Huatai International.

The round values the company at over USD1 billion, earning it the unicorn status.
The round brings the total fundraising amount to $630 million.
Returning investors Oriza Rivertown and Oriza Hua Capital, both of which are affiliated with China’s state-owned Oriza Holdings, and CICC Capital, an investment arm of investment bank China International Capital Corp, re-upped in the round.
