Motive Partners (Motive), a specialist private equity firm focused on building, backing and buying the financial technology companies, has appointed Bridget van Kralingen as Partner.
Van Kralingen, who joins Motive after serving as a senior executive at IBM, will also be part of the firm’s Management Committee. She will work alongside the leadership team to accelerate Motive’s ability to identify and scale technology businesses, based on her experience in digital businesses, data and analytics, AI, blockchain, cloud software and services. Van Kralingen will also work across the Motive portfolio to enhance these capabilities in portfolio companies as well as building out Motive’s data and analytics capabilities.
Van Kralingen spent nearly 18 years in a variety of senior leadership and client roles at IBM and most recently led IBM Global Markets & Sales, where she was responsible for IBM’s revenue and profit, leading global sales, go to market, field operations, business development, partner and ecosystem and client satisfaction worldwide. This role saw her oversee over $80 billion of revenue and over 100,000 people in a single go-to-market. Van Kralingen was a leading member of the IBM Investment Committee for the last dozen years, overseeing investments, divestitures, and providing strategic leadership to the corporate development activities of IBM.
