Palatine has added to its Manchester-based team with the appointment of Rachael Taplin as an Investment Manager for its Impact Fund. Taplin joins from Grant Thornton, where she spent more than two-and a-half years in the corporate finance team.
During her time with Grant Thornton, Taplin advised on several key deals across the North West including Palatine’s Impact Fund exit from Veincentre in late 2022.
In her new role, Taplin will be responsible for deal origination, execution, and working with management teams to deliver their strategy post investment. She will work closely with portfolio companies including environmental services group Cura Terrae and Roydon Recycling, following the firm’s investment in the waste management and recycling specialist from Impact Fund II in June.
