Global law firm Baker McKenzie has added to its private equity practice with the appointment of Hannah Luqmani as a partner. Luqmani, who joins from Fried Frank, and took up her new position on 4 September, will be based in the firm’s London office.
Luqmani has previously represented several large cap private equity funds and their portfolio companies on a range of transactions.
Her appointment follows the recent hires of M&A partner, Theodore Heng in Singapore, Capital Markets and Finance partners Arturo Carrillo, Michael Fitzgerald and Joy Gallup in New York; M&A/Private Equity partner Michael Doumet in Paris; Capital Markets lawyer Sheng Chen in Hong Kong; Banking & Finance partners Kevin Whittam in New York, Anthony Kay in London and Holly Hart in Sydney; and Fintech partners Usman Sheikh and Michael Garellek in Toronto.
