Global law firm Taylor Wessing has appointed Shervin Shameli as Partner within its London private equity and fund formation team. Shameli joins from Reed Smith, where he was Co-Head of its private funds formation group in London.
Shameli has nearly 20 years of industry experience, advising both private fund formation clients and institutional investors. His practice includes the full spectrum of private fund formation work, and he has considerable experience in the establishment and maintenance of investment funds, advising from first time funds through to second/third vintage funds, co-investments, spinouts and joint ventures.
This is Taylor Wessing’s fourth partner hire in 2024, following the announcements last month of Ryan Ferry joining the firm to establish a Disputes practice in Dublin, highly experienced ex-Lewis Silkin co-managing partner Giles Crown joining the firm’s IP practice in London, and Charlotte Witherington moving from Freshfields to bolster the firm’s market leading financial services regulatory capability.
