Global private equity firm Permira has appointed Anish Patel as Partner and Co-Head of Climate. In his new London-based role, Patel will co-lead Permira’s dedicated climate investing team alongside Kush Patel.
Patel was most recently a Partner and a senior member of the investment and portfolio management team at Kerogen Capital. Prior to this, he worked in corporate finance at JP Morgan Cazenove, where he advised clients in the energy and industrial sectors.
His appointment follows the establishment of a climate investing team at Permira, which focuses on both assets (projects and platforms) and enablers (associated products, services and technologies).
Last month, Permira added Paddy Padmanathan, formerly CEO at former ACWA Power, as a senior adviser to its climate investing team.
