JP Morgan Private Capital adds life sciences managing partner

JP Morgan Private Capital, the venture and growth equity division of JP Morgan Asset Management, has added Joseph Siletto as a managing partner to its life sciences team, based in Boston, US.

Siletto will work alongside Anya Schiess and Gaurav Gupta, reporting to Stephen Squinto. The team invests in healthcare companies, specifically within biotechnology, medical devices, health technology and services, as well as the diagnostics and tools subsectors.

Siletto was most recently Managing Director at Vivo Capital, where he sourced investments, executed transactions and served on the board of directors for over 10 companies, as well as becoming involved in their operations.

Prior to Vivo, Siletto co-founded Scion Medical Technologies, which was ultimately sold to Varian Medial and is now part of Siemens. Prior to this, Siletto was an investment banker at Cowen & Company and Banc of America Securities (now BofA Securities), focusing on healthcare M&A and capital raising.

JP Morgan’s life sciences platform aims to support innovative treatment methods and technology, the application of increased computing power and AI in treatment development, the improvement of diagnostic tools for earlier disease detection and prevention, as well as the delivery of cost-effective healthcare.
