Adams Street Partners, a private markets investment firm with more than $59bn in AUM, has appointed Chief Operating Officer Jim Walker as its Global Head of Wealth.
In his new role, Walker will lead the firm’s growth in the wealth management space, with an emphasis on developing and scaling products and services for financial advisors and their clients.
Walker served as COO of Adams Street for nearly seven years, prior to which he worked at Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch.
Walker’s COO responsibilities will be split between his new role and Chief Financial Officer Michael Kurlander.
Chicago-headquartered Adams Street was founded in 1972 and has offices in Austin, Beijing, Boston, London, Menlo Park, Munich, New York, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo, according to its website.
