IK Partners’ Small Cap II Fund has reached an agreement to sell its stake in Mecenat Group, a leading marketing and brand awareness platform, to Inflexion. The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.
Mecenat, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, operates a digital platform in Sweden and Finland, connecting nearly three million members with over 700 brands across various sectors, including technology, fashion, travel, and entertainment.
Its key partners include Apple, Zalando, Hotels.com, and Viaplay.
Since IK Partners invested in Mecenat in September 2021, the company has seen its revenue more than double. The digital platform has also broadened its product offering, expanded geographically, made significant technological advancements, and executed strategic acquisitions to diversify and enhance its services.
Mecenat has also recently expanded its footprint through acquisitions, including Seniordays in 2021, Frank Students in 2022, and Traineeguiden in 2023.
