Apollo has agreed to acquire Argo Infrastructure Partners, a leading mid-market asset manager focused on essential infrastructure assets in North America.
According to a recent release, this transaction, consisting of both stock and cash, will add approximately $6bn in high-quality assets to Apollo’s infrastructure platform. Additionally, the acquisition will bring over 20 experienced professionals to Apollo, specialising in core and core-plus infrastructure equity opportunities.
Founded in 2013, Argo has a proven track record of delivering long-term value across sectors such as digital infrastructure, renewable energy, transportation, utilities, and more. Argo’s emphasis on core and core-plus assets will enhance Apollo’s Sustainability & Infrastructure strategies, expanding its existing capabilities in key areas like digital infrastructure and the energy transition, both of which Apollo anticipates will continue to attract significant investment.
Following the closure of the transaction, Argo will join Apollo’s Sustainability & Infrastructure group, which includes strategies spanning the risk-return spectrum, from private credit to value-add infrastructure equity and private equity.
Apollo expects the transaction to modestly enhance fee-related earnings in 2026. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to finalise in the second quarter of 2025.
