Investcorp, the Middle East’s largest alternative investment firm, has completed a leadership restructuring which began six months ago with the return of Daniel Lopez-Cruz as its Global Head of Private Equity.
London-based Lopez-Cruz, who left Investcorp over two year ago after serving as Head of Europe Private Equity, will take over from Dave Tayeh, who is set to depart the company in June.
In a press statement the company said that the appointment “concludes Investcorp’s planned leadership transition and business streamlining programme of the last six months, preparing the firm for its next leg of growth with a new generation of leadership elevated from within its ranks.”
Founded in 1982 in Bahrain, Investcorp manages approximately $55bn in assets. While best known for listing luxury brands including Gucci and Tiffany, the company has also branched out into other areas including private credit.
The firm said in September that co-CEO Hazem Ben-Gacem would leave after 30 years and earlier this month announced replacements for two senior credit executives who are set to leave this year.
