Swiss private equity firm Partners Group has successfully exited its investment in Greenlink, a 504-megawatt subsea electricity interconnector linking Great Britain and Ireland, in a €1bn ($1.09bn) transaction.
The asset has been acquired by Baltic Cable and Equitix, Partners Group announced on Monday.
Greenlink plays a critical role in cross-border energy transmission, enhancing grid stability and facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources between the UK and Ireland. The deal reflects continued investor appetite for energy infrastructure assets, particularly in the interconnection and transmission sector.
Partners Group was advised by UBS, Clifford Chance, and Arthur Cox throughout the transaction.
