MiddleGround Capital has named Jonathan La as Chief Financial Officer, as the operationally focused private equity firm continues to scale its financial infrastructure across North America and Europe.
La, who is based in MiddleGround’s New York office, reports to Partner Christopher Speight. He brings more than 25 years of private equity experience, including a 17-year tenure at Monomoy Capital Partners, where he served as Director of Finance.
In his new role, La oversees all aspects of MiddleGround’s financial operations and reporting across its US and European platforms. He also leads the firm’s Accounting and Fund Accounting teams, with responsibility for enhancing efficiency and supporting strategic growth.
La’s background includes extensive experience in financial planning, treasury, tax structuring, and technology implementation. At Monomoy, he spearheaded the adoption of new ERP and budgeting systems to streamline reporting. Prior to that, he held finance roles at Evercore Partners and BISYS, and began his career in Deloitte’s private equity audit practice.
La holds a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College and is a licensed CPA.
