BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has held the second close of its BNP Paribas Agility Co-Invest Fund 2, raising nearly €700m, attracting backing from both French and international investors, including institutional and private clients, driven by a close collaboration between BNPP AM and BNP Paribas Wealth Management.
Launched in 2024, Agility 2 targets co-investments in European small and mid-cap companies across a range of sectors. The fund focuses on deploying equity tickets of €10m to €50m alongside leading European private equity managers in leveraged buyout (LBO) transactions.
To date, the vehicle has already committed capital to 15 companies, with a long-term goal of constructing a diversified portfolio of approximately 50 investments.
The second close brings the fund close to its €700m milestone, on its way to a €900m hard cap, underscoring strong appetite for co-investment strategies among investors seeking direct access to private equity opportunities. The fundraising momentum has been bolstered by a targeted campaign among BNP Paribas Wealth Management clients in Europe and Asia, reflecting rising demand for private asset exposure in diversified portfolios.
Agility 2 also benefits from a significant cornerstone commitment of €300m from the BNP Paribas Group, reinforcing alignment of interest with investors.
Structured as a Specialised Professional Fund (FPS) regulated by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), Agility 2 is managed by BNPP AM’s Private Assets division, which oversaw approximately €41bn in assets under management and advisory as of 31 December 2024.
