JP Morgan has appointed Anthony Diamandakis as Vice Chair of its Strategic Investors Group, in a move the bank says reinforces its commitment to deepening relationships with key financial sponsors, including private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices, according to a report by Private Equity Insights.
Diamandakis joins from Citigroup, where he held senior roles in investment banking over the past 11 years. His appointment follows a 17-year tenure at Credit Suisse, bringing close to 30 years of experience advising institutional investors on complex transactions.
In his new role, Diamandakis will report to Avery Whidden, Global Head of Infrastructure and Strategic Investors Group. His arrival comes amid a broader push by JP Morgan to expand its strategic dialogue with asset managers deploying capital across the alternative investment landscape.
