Jolt Capital, a European growth private equity firm focused on deeptech, has promoted Marie Nicod to partner, just a year after she joined the firm as an Investment Director in September 2024. She becomes the eleventh investing partner at the firm.
Since joining, Nicod has played a central role in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, as well as designing and implementing the “Jolt Playbook”, a 36-month roadmap to monitor and drive growth for deeptech scaleups. Her experience in industrial defence programmes and dual-use technologies has also made her a regular speaker at international conferences on sovereign innovation.
Based in Paris, Nicod currently serves on the boards of BioSerenity and P2i, both part of Jolt Capital IV’s portfolio.
Nicod holds an MSc from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech (2008) and ENSTA (2009). She began her career at Naval Group (2007–2018), followed by Thales (2019–2022) overseeing five strategic programs. She then served as Group Technical Director at Aresia (2022–2023) and as Investment Director Deeptech at Expansion (2023–2024) before joining Jolt Capital.
