S2G Investments (S2G), a multi-stage private investment firm focussed on the food & agriculture, energy, and oceans sectors, has appointed Grant Leslie as Operating Partner, Government & Policy.
In this role, Leslie will help portfolio companies navigate complex regulatory environments and foster collaboration between the private sector and government stakeholders.
Leslie joins S2G after nearly 15 years at FGS Global, where she most recently served as Global Head of the Food Team, advising S2G and other corporate, non-profit, and coalition clients on advocacy and policy strategy. Previously, she served as Senior Advisor to Secretary Tom Vilsack at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), where she managed policy development and interagency coordination across key areas, including the Farm Bill, nutrition programs, renewable energy, rural development, and agricultural trade, as well as in roles in the US Senate for a decade.
Having spent her career working alongside farmers, rural communities, and agribusiness leaders, the firm believes she will bring an understanding of how to balance economic growth with regulatory realities. At S2G, she will apply this experience to advance approaches that foster innovation in food and agriculture and inform scalable solutions across energy and oceans.
