Law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has strengthened its Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group with appointment of Heather Weigel as a partner in New York.
Weigel focuses on advising US and international clients on a wide range of public and private company M&A transactions, including investments, carve-outs, spinoffs, joint ventures and other general corporate and restructuring matters. She has significant experience with US public company M&A and has successfully guided clients through major domestic and cross-border transactions. She joins from Davis Polk.
Weigel’s experience spans the oil and gas, consumer products, retail and financial services sectors, and she has counselled fintech and media clients on transactional and governance matters. She also regularly represents private equity firms and their portfolio companies on the full spectrum of private equity transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of investments, leveraged buyouts and minority investments.
