Vantage Data Centers is considering a public listing or potential sale that could value the hyperscale data centre operator at around $100bn, according to a report by Reuters citing unnamed people familiar with the discussions.
The company, backed by Silver Lake and infrastructure investor DigitalBridge, could seek to raise approximately $10bn through an initial public offering as soon as next year. If pursued, the listing would rank as the largest data centre IPO to date, the sources said.
Vantage is also assessing other options, including a possible sale of the business or a transaction involving a minority stake. The company has held preliminary discussions about potential exit routes in recent weeks and has had informal conversations with financial advisers, according to the sources.
No formal sale or IPO process has been launched and the discussions remain at an early stage. The eventual timing, structure and size of any transaction could change, and Vantage could ultimately decide against pursuing a deal.
