International law firm Eversheds has acted for Baird Capital Partners Europe on its buyout of Aston Carter Limited and Aston Carter International, using its global network of offices to manage the multi-jurisdiction deal.
Aston Carter is a London-based recruitment consultancy that specialises in supplying IT, banking and consultancy personnel to investment banks and financial institutions. The business has branches in Sweden, Ireland, Belgium and Singapore, will shortly open offices in France and Tokyo, and also operates in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.
The Eversheds team was led by corporate partner Richard Moulton and also comprised William Sharp (equity), Debbie Fuller (acquisition) and David Boyd (banking). Says Moulton: ‘This was an important deal for Baird Capital Partners Europe, which was backed by all of the Aston management team. The company is undergoing rapid international expansion, substantially increasing the scale and scope of its operations.’
Says Baird director Chris Harper: ‘Investment in recruitment consultancies is a specialist area for us, and with the help of Eversheds and its international network we were able to complete the deal in many countries. This was carried out in an efficient and smooth manner due to Eversheds’ global reach.’
