International law firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker has recruited Michelle English, previously with Kirkland & Ellis, as a partner in the private equity practice in its London office.
English’s practice focuses on cross-border leveraged buyouts and venture capital investments. She advises private equity portfolio companies on complex refinancings, multi-jurisdictional management equity programmes, European high-yield debt offerings and corporate matters, and has advised European corporate clients on US securities law and acquisitions.
‘Private equity is a targeted area of growth for the firm,’ says William Kirsch, chairman of Paul Hastings’ private equity practice. ‘Michelle’s arrival will allow for the further development of our practice in London and adds significantly to our ability to offer cross-border private equity capabilities throughout Europe.’
