Members of a newly formed AIM alliance have launched their website at a meeting in London.
The alliance is comprised of key professional services required by businesses wishing to become AIM listed.
Key members of the alliance, which was established by Paul Beckett of Mannin Chambers, include UK law firm McGrigors, Marsh AIM Risk Services, Baker Tilly, and Devonshire Corporate Services.
The Isle of Man has been one of the most successful jurisdictions in attracting AIM listing work from international companies.
Kelly Hack of McGrigors says: ‘It is a complex process and the ability to work in a structured and coordinated way ensures that the client receives all the professional advice that is required in the lead up to entry to AIM.’
Nick Boon of Isle of Man Finance says: ‘There are 1,548 companies listed on London’s AIM with GDP45bn market capitalisation and 2.5 per cent of those are Isle of Man incorporations. The Isle of Man enjoys two corporate regimes both of which are used by advisers. In addition, the Isle of Man also has an excellent Closed-ended Investment Company structure that is treated as a regular company from a regulatory perspective. These factors together with its tax regime have ensured that the Island has become a significant jurisdiction for company incorporation and funds structures.’
In total the Isle of Man contributes in the order of GDP40bn per annum to the City of London.
